Great story. I wonder what happened to Hafnar? I also have no idea what a skettle is.

The Skald tells his tale well, no mention of the many casualties who had to be carried back to the boat, their wounds a strange green colour. It is hoped that Hafnar, whose helmet caused him so much anguish was not captured by the natives, unhuman cries were heard as they made their way back to the longship.

Sounds like something out of Prince Valiant (but more succinct! ha ha). Looks like fun, too.
